Irene
What would we have done without Irene over the past 10 years! She has worked here at The Cottage since we opened - originally several days a week and now one, but she is always willing to fill in an extra day or two when asked. Irene is dependable, friendly and much appreciated.
Irene and her husband live in rural Beresford where they have farmed and raised their family of three daughters. Their grandchildren and great-grandchildren are now an important focus of their lives.
Claudia
If you've been to The Cottage a time or so, you've probably met Claudia. She has worked here since we opened in 2001. Claudia has a full-time job and spends one of her days off each week here at The Cottage. Always willing to tackle whatever needs to be done, she is an important part of our business.
Claudia and her husband have lived in Beresford since 1996. They have three daughters that are grown and gone, and a son in college. Whatever free time Claudia can find is often spent with her granddaughters.
We have been so blessed to have these two gals as employees at The Cottage. They each bring their own talents and abilities to the job, and The Cottage is truly a better place because of them.
Our Daughters, Heidi and Kerri
Where would we be without the loving support of our two daughters. They pitch in and help numerous times throughout the year, but most of all they are always the cheerleaders behind the scenes!
In addition to helping occasionally at the shop, Kerri travels with me to Market to buy for The Cottage. I rely on and appreciate her input. Not only does she have a good eye for items, but because she represents a different generation she sees things that will appeal to the younger shopper. She would tell you it's a tough job, but somebody has to do it!
